Ian Shaw brings over two decades of leadership experience in cybersecurity and SaaS to his role as Board Advisor to IOActive. As CEO of MWR InfoSecurity, Ian led the firm’s growth into one of the leading global independent cybersecurity consultancies, building a 400-strong team delivering advanced security research, technical consulting, and high-impact client engagements across multiple sectors. In 2018, he successfully guided MWR through its acquisition by F‑Secure in an £80 million transaction.
Following the acquisition, Ian joined F‑Secure’s global leadership team as Executive Vice President, where he expanded the firm’s consulting practice and helped scale its advanced threat hunting, incident response, and managed detection capabilities, including development of the Countercept platform.
Today, Ian serves as CTO of London-based fintech Aigence (www.aigecen.io), applying his deep operational, technical, and go-to-market expertise to build next-generation SaaS platforms. He continues to advise high-growth cybersecurity companies, bringing a strong track record in scaling services businesses, navigating successful exits, and driving technical innovation in complex enterprise markets.
