Dave Litchfield served for 28 years in the Royal Marine Commandos serving all over the world and was both mountain and arctic warfare trained and jungle trained. He left the Corps in the highest non-commissioned rank as a Warrant Officer 1st Class and had the rare honour of being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (awarded to only one or two Marines annually).
Dave is a veteran cybersecurity leader and former Royal Marine Commando with over 40 years of combined military and industry experience. As Senior Vice President for EMEA Commercial Strategy he is responsible for driving growth and leveraging this experience and network to build the EMEA region.
Since joining IOActive in 2018, he has helped expand our world-class international team across multiple regions, established the UK’s largest hardware lab, and helped drive IOActive’s selection by the Open Compute Project for its S.A.F.E. testing program—at the time one of only three companies globally to earn this recognition.
Previously, Dave spent a decade at NCC Group following its acquisition of NGS Software, the award-winning security firm he co-founded in 2001. NGS received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise, The International Trade Award for Innovation, and The SC Award for Best Security Company in Europe.
Earlier, Dave worked with Cerberus Security and @stake after 28 years in the Royal Marine Commandos, where he achieved the rank of Warrant Officer 1st Class and received the Meritorious Service Medal.
