IOActive’s Robert Zigweid to Present at OWASP AppSec USA
IOActive’s Senior Security Consultant to discuss best practices for threat modeling
Seattle, Wash—September 1, 2010. IOActive, a leading provider of application security, compliance, and smart grid security services, today announced that Robert Zigweid, a Senior Security Consultant, will present Threat Modeling Best Practices at the OWASP AppSec USA conference. The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a worldwide free and open community focused on improving the security of application software.
Zigweid will discuss best practices for implementing threat modeling including when to begin threat modeling, how much threat modeling to perform, and who should be involved. It’s important to remember that threat modeling is an ongoing process that doesn’t stop when a product is on the market. Attackers will not stop developing threats because a product has gone to market, so it’s critical that companies continue to counter these threats and prevent attacks throughout a product’s lifecycle.
