IOActive’s Robert Zigweid to Present at OWASP Los Angeles

Principal Compliance Consultant to present Security in the Cloud

Seattle, Wash—January 25, 2012. IOActive, a leading provider of application security, compliance, and smart grid security services, today announced that Robert Zigweid, their Principal Compliance Consultant, will present Security in the Cloud at the Los Angeles chapter of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP). OWASP is a worldwide, free, open community focused on improving the security of application software.

It is no surprise that the emergence of cloud computing and virtualization are creating a noticeable buzz across the IT space. Still, the cloud by itself is a mystery to many customers and when information security is introduced to the mix, the picture becomes "cloudy." Add compliance requirements such as PCI and it's downright "stormy!" In this presentation, Mr. Zigweid will discuss ways to achieve data security in a cloud environment, including what a cloud customer should watch our for and what they should expect from their provider in order to meet compliance requirements.
