Erin Jacobs to Present at Bsides Boston

IOActive's Engagement Director to discuss lessons she learned while working as a CSO at a mid-size company

Seattle, Wash—April 12, 2010. Bsides is a community-driven "unconference" built for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond the traditional confines of space and times.

Jacobs' presentation will highlight lessons she learned as a CSO, and how she survived years of dealing with alternating, contradictory compliance requirements, external auditors, and internal corporate politics.

Erin Jacobs is an IOActive engagement director who specializes in managing and guaranteeing security of the enterprise infrastructure from a process and policy standpoint. She has overseen incident response planning, investigated security breaches, and conducted independent security audits that adhere to numerous frameworks.
