IOActive’s Cesar Cerrudo to Host Workshop at Black Hat USA

IOActive’s Chief Technology Officer of IOActive Labs will host a workshop concerning Windows vulnerability hunting

Seattle, Wash—July 1, 2011. IOActive, a leading provider of application security, compliance, and smart grid security services, today announced that Cesar Cerrudo, their CTO of IOActive Labs, will host the workshop Easy and Quick Vulnerability Hunting in Windows at Black Hat USA in Las Vegas. The Black Hat Briefings are a series of highly technical information security conferences that bring together thought leaders from all facets of the infoSec world—from the corporate and government sectors to academic and even underground researchers. Black Hat remains the best and biggest event of its kind, unique in its ability to define tomorrow's information security landscape.

Cerrudo's workship will teach attendees how to quickly and easily find vulnerabilities in Windows applications by leverage easy-to-use tools. He will describe simple techniques that can be used by both experts and amateurs to obtain great results. Learning these techniques will allow attendees to perform quick audits on Windows applications and determine their current security level. Cerrudo will demonstrate how to spot vulnerabilities with just a couple of clicks or with short debugging sessions.

About Cesar Cerrudo
Cesar Cerrudo is CTO at IOActive Labs, where he leads the team in performing cutting-edge research in the areas of SCADA, mobile devices, application security, and more.
